Met him a couple of times during his Verve days through a mutual Wigan MATE - the four short arses must have weighed about 12 stone combined.
Not a fan of his solo stuff but hope you enjoy it.

My mate dated his sister, they had a kid together, he always came across as a complete up his own arse cunt, he genuinely believes his the best singer/song writer in the world. Completely arrogant.
I also read an interview a few years back when he was talking about how he was in a shop in Italy and he was recognised and he had to hide in shop and couldn't leave, was going on about how he's so famous he can do anything and that's why he wrote keys to the world...
A cunt but he can sing and write the odd great song

Went up the stairs just before the gig and saw 6/7 northerners flying out the door and one shouting "it's a river of shit!"

I was there last night. Been to loads of gigs at Brixton but don't think I've ever seen it so packed, closest was probably The Specials first come back gig.
